(18:52) MONTEREY – A lawsuit has been filed against a local real estate agent. A Monterey couple brought the suit after they realized that the 3rd street property they had purchased in 2000, was where convicted murderer Alfred Powell lived, and where he kille and buried at least 2 of his victims. The suit is against both the real estate agent, and the previous homeowner, because those 2 failed to let the couple know about the history of the property.
Suzanne Nixon’s body was found in 1983, shortly after she was murdered, and last September the couple’s gardener found the body of 32 year-old Sandra Mcgee-Steppuhn buried in the backyard. She disappeared in 1982. Powell has also been charged with her murder.
