(19:02) CALIFORNIA – Members of the State Water Resources Control Board will be deciding later this month whether to keep, or cancel, the statewide mandate to conserve water. The statewide water conservation effort required at least a 20 percent reduction in water use around the state. Even if board members decide to cancel the statewide mandate (when they meet May 18th), water districts around the state would implement their own water restrictions….which would need to be reported to the State Water Board by June 15th. The continuing concern is whether the state is actually coming out of the drought, or if this winters’ rain was an anomaly.
