(17:54) SALINAS – Due to a contract dispute, a one-day strike is planned by some hospital workers later this month, but because the temporary workers the hospital plans to hire must be hired for a minimum of 3 days, the strike could be longer. The National Union Of Healthcare Workers, which represents about 600 certified nurses aides and other Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital employees, has announced plans to hold the one-day strike on May 17th because they have been locked in the current contract dispute since the most recent contract expired last July.
