(06:50) SANTA CRUZ – A man was arrested at an illegal campsite in Santa Cruz on Monday. Deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of Coast Road following a report of suspicious activity. Several well established campsites were found at the scene. Deputies contacted Santos Mitchell Mendez and discovered he had a warrant for his arrest. He was apprehended and booked into Santa Cruz County Jail. (S.G.)
