(18:05) SANTA CRUZ – 4 of the dogs rescued from the now-closed South Korean dog meat farms will be coming to Santa Cruz county. Because of that, the Santa Cruz Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals Is looking for foster homes for 2 mastiffs, and 2 golden retriever/labrador mixes. The foster families will need to begin each dogs’ training (and socializing) as soon as the dogs get to Santa Cruz, and that’s supposed to be May 9th. The S-P-C-A is looking for foster families who can commit to at least 1 month of training and care for the fearful (and under-socialized) dogs. The families need to not have any children younger than 12 years-old, an d they need to be able to keep the dog separate from cats. The first training session for foster families is scheduled to be held may 4th, at the Santa Cruz S-P-C-A on Chanticleer.
