(Updated at 06:23) – Authorities have released additional information on a gang-related shooting that occurred in Salinas earlier this week. A 20-year-old Hispanic man was hospitalized Monday night after being shot multiple times on North Main Street. The victim is now out of surgery and expected to recover. At the scene of the crime, investigators found 20 shell casings belonging to three different firearms. Surveillance footage from nearby buildings shows three men fleeing the area. They may have left in a GMC Denali XL with tinted windows. Anyone with information is to contact Salinas police.

Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of North Main Street shortly after 9 p.m., following a report of gunfire. At the scene, police found a 20-year-old Hispanic man, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital and has been uncooperative with officers.
