(07:01) BEN LOMOND – Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a case of mail theft in Ben Lomond. Officials say Valley Churches United Missions’ post office box was burglarized Wednesday evening. The organization is currently holding their Bucks for Hunger campaign. They believe a number of donation checks may have been taken from the post office box during the burglary. If community members mailed in a donation between Saturday, April 9, and Monday, April 11, they are urged to contact VCUM so the receipt of their donation can be verified. Meanwhile, anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office. (S.G.)
