(00:15) LAS LOMAS – An 8 year-old boy died, and a 6 year-old was injured, when a sleepy driver crossed into oncoming traffic in North Monterey County, and hit the car they were in yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon. The 2 p-m head-on crash occurred on Hall Road near Las Lomas Drive (and the Las Lomas Market). The injured child was air-lifted to a Bay Area Trauma Center. Hall Road was closed for nearly 2 hours as the accident was investigated and the roadway was cleared.

(16:48) LAS LOMAS – An 8 year-old child died, and a baby was injured, in a head-on crash in north Monterey county this afternoon. The 2:30 p-m accident occurred near the intersection of Hall Road and Las Lomas Drive. The injured child was air-lifted to a Bay Area trauma center. Hall Road was closed for nearly 2 hours, while the cause of the fatal accident was investigated. Traffic was backed-up on Hall, Elkhorn, Werner, and Salinas Roads to the west; and Hall, San Miguel Canyon, and Tarpey Roads to the east.
