March 11, 2016: Carmel Planning Commission Proposes Regulation of Wood-Burning Fireplaces

(07:21) CARMEL – Carmel planning officials have proposed an ordinance that would regulate wood-burning fireplaces. The proposal has been made in an effort to purify the city’s air. If approved, the ordinance would allow EPA approved heating, including wood-burning pellet stoves. The city’s planning commission plans to recommend the ordinance to the city council before its next meeting. (S.G.)
