(16:00) WATSONVILLE- A Watsonville man was treated for a gunshot injury following the theft of his vehicle Friday night. Authorities say the incident took place on the 100 block of Carey Way around 9 p.m. The victim’s head was grazed by a bullet after he was shot at when his 2002 Ford Focus sedan was stolen by a thin Hispanic male in dark clothing wearing a white mask. The victim was transported to the hospital and released after treatment. The case is being investigated as an attempted homicide. It is unclear at this time if it was a carjacking or if the victim interrupted the thief while stealing the vehicle.
