(13:25) MONTEREY BAY TO POINT REYES – The recreational crab season has opened south of point reyes, and although health officials are still warning people not to eat the internal organs of the crabs, the crab meat itself is now considered safe to eat. There had been an issue with the high levels of domoic acid in the crabs, and there still tends to be unacceptable levels in the internal organs. The commercial season is still on hold.
