(07:00) SANTA CRUZ – A memorial is being held in Santa Cruz Tuesday night for a UCSC student who was found dead last week. The body of 19-year-old Shireen Ahsan was discovered at Wilder Ranch State Park last Monday. Ahsan had been swept out to sea while hiking with friends in Bonny Doon the previous week. Another student, Ahmad Nourzaie, was also swept out to sea. He has not yet been found. Ahsan’s memorial will be held in Kresge’s Town Hall on the UCSC campus at 7 p.m. (S.G.)
