January 25, 2015: Reservation-only at local airports over Super Bowl weekend

(1540) MONTEREY/WATSONVILLE/SALINAS – The Federal Aviation Administration will be implementing a temporary reservation system at a number of Bay Area and Central Coast airports in anticipation of the increase in air traffic for Super Bowl weekend. Among the airports included are Monterey, Watsonville,  Salinas, Hollister  and Morgan Hill. The FAA says it is expecting 1,000 to 1,200 aircraft arriving for the festivities throughout the region. The fly-by-reservation system will be in place from February 4th – February 8th.
