(9:40) SANTA CRUZ- Water processed for use by the city of Santa Cruz in 2015 was the lowest it has been since 1965. According to the Santa Cruz Water Department the city sold 180 million gallons less water in 2015 than in 2014, and 777 million gallons less than in 2013. This makes 2015 water production comparable to the 1976-77 water restricted drought years or to 1965’s normal production year. Currently Loch Lomond, which supplies the city is at 66 percent of capacity.
