(13:06) SALINAS- The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted nine Salinas men on 73 counts of violent crimes. According to Salinas police the men are associated with the Norteño gang and are responsible for a majority of the city’s 2009 shootings. The indictments include 12 murders, seven attempted murders, a jewelry store robbery, and seven bank robberies. 33 year old Daniel Chavez, 26 year old Victor Skates, 36 year old Eduardo Lebron, 29 year old Eder Torres, 26 year old Julian Ruiz, 28 year old Antonio Cruz, 24 year old Terrell Golden, 28 year old Anthony Lek, and 35 year old Robert Loera are scheduled to appear in a San Jose Federal courtroom this Wednesday.
