Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park will honor three of its long term docents this week. Polly Basket and Helen Fairchild — both docents since 1989 — received the Poppy Award for their dedication and quality service to the park. John Fairchild, a docent of 26 years, was awarded the Volunteer Medallion, which is the highest award a California State Park Volunteer can earn.
