A hospital on the Central Coast has been recognized for providing quality care to cancer patients. The Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula has received the Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons. The facility has been recognized for achieving the highest national standards for cancer prevention, early diagnosis, research and education. This is the third consecutive year the hospital has received the award.
