A 34 year-old Salinas man has pleaded guilty to escaping from Monterey County Jail on Christmas morning. Freddy Swanson, and the man who admitted to helping Swanson with that jail break (Clifford Kempter), are scheduled to be sentenced March 3rd. Swanson faces more than 12 years behind bars, while Kempter is likely to get a 2 year prison sentence.
