Salinas police are investigating the city’s fifth homicide of the year. At about 8:10 p.m. Saturday, patrol units arrived on the 1000 block of North Sanborn Road, after receiving reports of gunfire. On scene, officers found 21-year-old Eric Jacobo suffering from multiple bullet wounds. Resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful and Jacobo was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting is believed to be gang related. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Salinas police.
