Once AB60 goes into effect January 1st, about 1.4 million people are expected to apply for a California drivers license. Many undocumented immigrants have already gone to local DMV offices to pick up the handbook that shows the proper documents they will need to bring when they apply for their drivers licenses. Most DMV field offices require people to make appointments to take the test.
