One man was reported injured in a shooting that occurred in Salinas today. The victim was shot in the head or neck around 2:30 p.m. while he was in his vehicle at the intersection of East Lake Street and California street. Two suspects fled in a pickup truck and police closed off several streets in the area including Lake Street. The victim was taken to Natividad Medical Center and went into surgery immediately.
