A man and a woman were arrested in Soledad on weapons charges Saturday night. 29-year-old Juan Lucio and 26-year-old Angelique Retana were travelling on Palm Avenue near First Street shortly before 9 p.m. when they were stopped by officers. Neither had valid driver’s licenses. A search of the vehicle recovered a loaded handgun and an assault rifle. Lucio and Retana were booked into Monterey County Jail on suspicion of carrying concealed loaded firearms in a car, conspiracy, and gang participation.
