An Aptos pool rescue ended in tragedy on Friday. At about 3:40 p.m. Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived to a condominium on the 1000 block of via Tornasol Road to investigate a report of a missing 11-year old boy. Officers searched the area and found the boy, unconscious, in a complex swimming pool. The deputies performed CPR until paramedics took over and transported the victim to Dominican Hospital where he died two hours later. The incident is being described as a tragic accident.
