Dozens of Salinas residents were displaced following a fire at an apartment complex Saturday afternoon. Officials say the fire broke out just before 2 p.m. in the building on the 1300 block of Garner Avenue. Five apartments and several cars were destroyed before crews extinguished the blaze. The Red Cross is currently helping the displaced residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
