the watsonville city planning commission unanimously approved a plan to build a biodeisel fuel plant at their meeting yesterday. the west beach street location is expected to provide up to 14 jobs and up to 800-thousand dollars in sales tax revenue annually for the city. north star biofuels will expects the plant to be up and running by early fall. the former apple growers cold storage warehouse will be retrofitted to house the plant.
