2-people were arrested on wednesday after a short pursuit in watsonville. A California highway patrol officer attempted to pull over 29-year-old Adrian ruiz at Anderson and college drives for a seatbelt violation. After briefly stopping, ruiz drove away from the scene. he was stopped a short time later, and was arrested without incident. Ruiz was booked into santa cruz county jail on multiple charges; he is also facing charges in monterey county. a passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old monica Vasquez, was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
