Capitola city leaders decided on Thursday to again delay the repeal of the city’s rent control ordinance. Council members were scheduled to take a final vote on the matter, but instead removed the item from the meeting’s agenda. The repeal of the ordinance is a controversial issue in the city. multiple mobile home park owners have challenged the legality of the ordinance. Now, residents of 1-of those parks is challenging the effort to repeal the rent controls. Council members have not yet re-scheduled a hearing on the issue.
