Acting cal-trans director malcolm Dougherty has sent a letter to California congressional delegation, urging lawmakers to extend legislation that funds billions of dollars worth of roadwork in California. The director said that if funding is not renewed by september 30th, then projects totaling 23-billion dollars could be in jeopardy. That’s the end of the federal fiscal year.
