2-people were arrested on gun-related charges this afternoon in Salinas. Members of the Salinas police department’s violence suppression unity stopped a vehicle at west alisal and church streets, for a traffic violation. 1-of the people in the vehicle attempted to flee during the stop. police say 18-year-old Gabriel otero had a loaded gun on him, which was discovered to be stolen from merced county. Otero was arrested, as was the driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old moises Garcia. The 2-are belived to be norteno gang members. They were booked into Monterey county jail.
