Police in Watsonville arrested a 16-year old felon after he was found in possession of a loaded handgun this afternoon. Officers performed a probation search around 2:30 p.m. at the teen’s 6th Street residence, and seized a loaded .32 caliber handgun and homemade knives. The teen was arrested and taken to Santa Cruz County Juvenile Hall on charges including suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, participation in a criminal street gang and a probation violation.
