The owner of a local aviation business and his son suffered fatal injuries when a plane crashed in Arkansas yesterday. Santa Cruz resident, 62-year old Bob Joseph Ross, the owner of United Flight Services, and his son, 32-year old Michael C. Ross of Austin, Texas, were the only 2 aboard a 1982 Cessna T-210 plane when it crashed around 12:30 p.m. in a remote area near Buffalo City, about 90 miles north of Little Rock. The plane, which was registered to Watsonville-based Monterey Bay Aviation, which operates United Flight Service, was traveling from Danville Illinois to Austin Texas.
