Santa Clara council members voted unanimously yesterday to form a “stadium authority” to make financial and legal decisions on behalf of the planned San Francisco 49ers Football Stadium. The new Santa Clara Stadium Authority, which is comprised of 7 city council members, have already certified an Environmental Impact Report, and signed a “cooperation agreement” to confirm the projects. Plans to build the 937-million dollar stadium are being considered for near the Great America Amusement Park in Santa Clara.
