2 people have been convicted in the 2016 killing of a man on the San Lorenzo West Levee in Santa Cruz. 34 year-old Jenessa Kic was convicted of 2nd degree murder, and 30 year-old Nino Ruiz was found guilty of murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and felon in possession of ammunition…..in the killing of 24 year-old Joey Shuemaker.
