The newest member of the 12-team Pecos Baseball League has been named. The Martinez Sturgeon now join the Santa Cruz Seaweed, the Monterey Amberjack, and the Pittsburgh Anchors as the sea-faring-themed clubs in the independently owned professional league, that is for players who are 22 through 25 years-old. The Pecos League is head-quartered in Houston Texas, and operates in cities throughout California, New Mexico, Arizona, Southern Colorado, Kansas, and West Texas. They play in cities that do not have major league (or minor league) baseball teams.
